IT workers race to shed geeky image

A GROUP of computer programming language workers are set to shatter their profession's geeky image by getting fit and completing a 5k run.

Following a report last year putting IT workers at the bottom of the league for fitness, the Scottish Ruby Conference has organised the charity event to coincide with a conference in Edinburgh.

On 26 March, delegates and speakers will head to Portobello to compete in the race.
