Islands ferry in collision with pier

CREW were forced to evacuate passengers yesterday after a ferry crashed into a pier.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency confirmed the incident happened on the Kintyre peninsula at Kennacraig at 9.30am.

An MCA spokeswoman said the 14 passengers were unhurt and disembarked safely after the ferry was reversed into the harbour.
