Iranian actress held over blog plans

A DISSIDENT Iranian actress was arrested last week as she prepared to leave for Germany to write a blog for a German radio station about the women's football World Cup, Iranian press reports said.

Pegah Ahangarani, 27, is the daughter of Iranian film-makers Manijeh Hekmat and Jamshid Ahangarani, and is being detained in Tehran's notorious Evin prison.
