AN INSURANCE scheme was launched yesterday which aims to offer home cover to the 15 per cent of people who are typically rejected by mainstream providers.

Homeprotect promises to offer insurance to people who live in flood-prone areas and those whose homes are at risk of subsidence as well as those with a criminal conviction.
