Inquiry after kitten is thrown from van

ANIMAL welfare chiefs are investigating after a four-month-old kitten was thrown from a van.

A member of the public rescued the cat after spotting the incident as the vehicle was leaving a yard in Thornhill, near Stirling on 15 August.

The Scottish SPCA appealed for information. The animal has been given a new home in Lenzie, East Dunbartonshire.
