Inquiry after baby found dead in bag

A NEW-BORN baby who died after being abandoned near a mosque in Stoke, Staffordshire, was found in a carrier bag with £20 and a note asking for help to bury him.

The initial police response – the baby was not taken to hospital until almost an hour after he was found – is now the subject of an IPCC inquiry.
