Inch residents go the extra mile for summer fun day

A FUN day is being held at the Inch next Saturday thanks to a £1000 Comic Relief grant.

Inch Summer Saturday will boast live music, dancing, arts and crafts, exhibitions and a historic tour as part of the six-hour event to be held at Inch Community Centre and Inch Park.

Funding for the bash was administered through Arts South Edinburgh.

A spokesperson for the event said: "It's a real grassroots effort, the community is pulling together to make something positive and uplifting happen in South Edinburgh.

"All we need is some sun, which would be an added bonus."

A street dance workshop will be run by Dance Base while a Zumba workshop will also be held in Inch Park.
