Iconic images by printmakers to go on show

ICONIC prints by some of the finest European artists of the past 500 years are going on display in the Capital.

The Printmaker's Art exhibition is running at the National Gallery of Scotland from tomorrow until 23 May.

Highlights will include an impression dating from 1511 of Drer's celebrated woodcut The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and Rembrandt's tour-de-force etching, The Three Crosses.

The 30 works on show at the exhibition also highlight the techniques used by artists such as Rembrandt, Piranesi, Hogarth, Manet and Whistler.
