I think girls wouldn't want the toys boys like

I START thinking about toys I'd like about a week before Christmas. But I have some thoughts before that and start to plan every now and then a few weeks before that.

I've seen the adverts for the Nerf N Strike Stampede blaster gun and they look really good and I would quite like one. A lot of my friends have been talking about them and quite a few people in my class have them. I like going outside and playing at soldiers and shooting at the odd thing.

Sometimes an advert makes you think: "Yeah, I quite like that." But when you actually see the toy you think "Oh, it doesn't do that much". That doesn't happen very often though.

Sometimes children do get too much at Christmas but usually it is just the right amount. If I asked Santa for something and I didn't get it I wouldn't be fussed because what I got might be better than what I wanted. It might be better than what was advertised.

I don't think girls would want the toys boys like. I wouldn't want a girls' hamster grooming kit with an electronic hamster because I've got a real one called Tiggy and I pop him in a plastic ball and set up a track for him.

But what I'd really like for Christmas is fishing things, like fish hooks or bait boxes.
