Hybrid buses are on the road to Glasgow

PASSENGERS are expected to be travelling on Scotland's first hybrid electric-diesel buses around Glasgow next year.

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport is due to order five vehicles from Falkirk bus-maker Alexander Dennis for a pilot scheme to cut pollution at emissions hot spots.
