Hunting vote

MSPs wish to see the Scotland Act amended to prevent a cutback in their numbers. This, they say, is vital to allow the committee system to function, and without which they claim the parliament could not work.

The same, mainly urban, MSPs threaten to ignore their own rural committee and vote to ban hunting on Wednesday. This hypocritical pandering to their own prejudice will destroy jobs, damage the countryside and further undermine the credibility of this expensive talking shop.

If committees are to be ig-nored, then clearly they are not needed. If they are not needed then nor are so many over-paid, under-worked MSPs and their taxpayer-funded advisors, assistants, spin doctors, etc.
