Hunt for Swiss gunman set to ramp up

Swiss police last night said they may have to change tactics in their hunt for a fugitive gunman who seriously wounded an officer in the city of Biel.

Police commander Franois Gaudy said officers had tried to avoid bloodshed "but this doctrine has its limits".
