Hunt for relatives after pensioner found dead

POLICE are trying to trace the relatives of a pensioner found dead in his home on Wednesday.

Charles Robertson, 71, was discovered in his Albert Street property at 2.45pm.

Police said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report has now been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

But officers cannot make contact with any of his relatives, although it is understood he may have a sister living in Sheffield and nieces or nephews in Edinburgh.

A spokesman said: "We are asking anyone who might know or know of Charles Robertson, or his family, to contact us as soon as possible."

The pensioner was known to have frequented various pubs around Leith Walk.
