Hunt for dead man's family

POLICE have appealed for help in tracing the next of kin of a man who was found dead in his Pilton home.

The body of 51-year-old James Robertson Preston was discovered in the home in West Pilton Rise at around 7pm last Thursday.

Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

Mr Preston was never married and has no children, but officers believe he may have a nephew who lives in the Edinburgh area.

A police spokesman said: "There is no other information relating to Mr Preston, other than that he lived in the West Pilton area for over 20 years."
