Hundreds of Christmas trees stolen from farm near Jedburgh

THOUSANDS of pounds worth of Christmas trees have been stolen from Shielsknowe Forestry at Brundenlaws Farm near Jedburgh.

420 trees, worth £6,300 in total, were discovered missing on Monday morning. It is thought that the theft occurred overnight.

The trees were packaged and ready to be delivered to furniture firm IKEA when they were stolen.

Lothian and Borders Police have asked for anyone with information to come forward, particularly if a vehicle was seen acting suspiciously in the area overnight on Sunday 25th November.
