Human remains discovered in remote area of Highlands

THE remains of a man have been discovered in a remote area of Scottish countryside between Crianlarich and Tyndrum.

The human remains were discovered by a walker on Saturday afternoon in woodland.

Central Scotland police said they do not believe the death is suspicious.

A post mortem examination is being carried out, and the identity of the remains will not be confirmed until forensic tests are carried out.

A Central Scotland Police spokeswoman said: “We are following a line of inquiry in relation to the man’s identity but this will only be confirmed once we have received the results of these tests.”
