Hoy joy as Sarra grabs race tickets

SIR Chris Hoy’s wife, Sarra, has been enjoying the Olympic spirit after securing tickets to watch her husband race.

Sarra, 32, a personal injury lawyer from the Capital, posted a picture of her meeting TV host Phillip Schofield at a pre-Olympics event and said it was a “highlight” of her year.

She had earlier told of her relief at being able to attend the Games after a last-minute ballot.

Under current rules, each athlete is allocated only two tickets for each session they take part in.

That meant Edinburgh-born Sir Chris was facing the prospect of choosing between Sarra, parents David and Carol, and his sister, Carrie.

Sarra said: “Ping pong tickets aren’t released until tomorrow, so for the sake of my marriage vows I went for track cycling.

“I’m a very lucky girl. Now all I have to do is get my husband there, too.”
