Housing site hit by fault

TECHNICAL problems on a council website mean that any bids for affordable housing in the Capital made over last weekend will not have been received.

People wanting to apply for social housing are able to do so through the city council's "EH - Key To Choice" site.

But it has emerged that bids submitted between 3.30pm on July 15 and 11am on July 18 will not have been registered.

People who submitted bids during that period are now being asked to resubmit them by this Friday at 3.30pm.

Karen Allen, the council's access to housing manager, said: "We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this will cause some of our customers."
