Housing key in city debate
MORE affordable homes emerged as a key priority for council tenants in Edinburgh at a recent debate on housing.
The aim of the annual Tenants Conference, organised by the city council and Edinburgh Tenants Federation, is to discuss service priorities.
Councillor Norman Work, vice-convenor of Edinburgh's health, social Care and housing committee, said: "A recent needs and demand assessment estimated that Edinburgh needs 16,600 new homes for rent over the next ten years."
