Houses get go-ahead

A DEVELOPMENT of nearly 50 new houses proposed for a Lothian farm has been given the green light.

Council chiefs put forward plans to build 47 houses, an access road, car parking, landscaping and a footpath at Hopefield Farm at Sherwood Crescent in Bonnyrigg.

Midlothian Council previously sought to build 32 homes there.
