Hotel scheme wins approval

PROPOSALS to redevelop the Raeburn House Hotel and create a new clubhouse for Edinburgh Academical have been approved by the council.

The plan will see the run-down building in Stockbridge brought back into use with a modern extension added to the rear and west.

Concerns from local residents mean restrictions will be placed on the scheme, to reduce problems with late-night noise from the clubhouse bar.
