Hotel occupancy rates still high in Edinburgh

OCCUPANCY figures at hotels in the Capital have remained over 90 per cent for the third consecutive month.

Figures released by the LJ Forecaster, operated by tourism research experts Lynn Jones Research Ltd, revealed that average occupancy across the city during August was 93 per cent, a 2 per cent increase on August last year.

City hotel revenues also improved on August 2009 with the average room rate rising from 115.47 to 120.94.
