Hotel hosts 'golf oscars'

SCOTLAND's "golf industry oscars" are to be held in North Berwick.

Golf Tourism Scotland said that the 2010 Awards would take place at the Macdonald Marine Hotel & Spa.

Among the honours up for grabs will be this year's top golf course, transport operator, golf tour operator, golf secretariat and caddiemaster.

Nick Hunter, chairman of GTS, said: "The Gold Standard Awards celebrate the best our country has to offer. They recognise companies and individuals and as such embody the very best in Scotland."
