Hotel group given a good reception at awards night

A HOTEL chain based in the Capital has been named small hotel group of the year at a prestigious national awards ceremony.

The Apex Hotel Group won the award at the AA Hospitality Awards 2010/11, which recognise companies across the UK.

Apex, which runs three hotels in the Capital and earlier this week announced plans to open a third hotel in London, was commended for its personalised service, commitment to sustainability and for its quality offering across its existing six hotels.

AA Hotel services group area manager Giovanna Grossi said: "There is a real family feel to this city centre stylish group of properties that is still actively run by owners Norman and Dorothy Springford."

Angela Vickers, managing director of Apex Hotels Group, said: "This is an amazing accolade for the Apex Group and recognition of all the hard work and dedication put in by every member of staff at all our hotels."
