Hospital ward becomes courtroom

A SHERIFF moved his court to a hospital bedside at Perth Royal Infirmary yesterday so a 98-year-old man could make a second appearance in connection with the attempted murder of two police officers.

Sylvester Nowak, of Scone, is being treated after taking ill following his arrest for allegedly using an axe and a knife to try to murder two female officers.
