Hospital to be ready in 2015

A REVAMPED psychiatric hospital for Edinburgh is at least five years away, documents have revealed.

The re-provision of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital in Morningside has been discussed for years, with various options being put forward.

It is understood it is likely to be rebuilt on its present site, rather than moved to the Royal Infirmary or Western General.

In a report update, NHS Lothian said it would be ready to commence service in 2015.
