Hospital boss in death probe

A HOSPITAL manager has been interviewed under caution as part of an investigation into a fatal accident at the Western General last year.

Though the police have concluded their own probe into the incident, when a 77-year-old woman died when she was knocked over by an NHS Lothian vehicle, the Health and Safety Executive is now carrying out its inquiry.

As well as one manager being interviewed under caution, another staff member was invited to a police station to give a statement.
