'Horror house' flats for sale

SCOTLAND'S "house of horrors" - the tenement block where a Lithuanian migrant worker was murdered and dismembered - is up for sale.

Two years ago Earlsdon House in Brechin's Southesk Street was the focus of a massive murder investigation after the head of Jolanta Bledaite was found by on the beachfront at Arbroath.

In March 2009, Vitas Plytnykas and Aleksandras Skirda were jailed for a total of 48 years at the High Court in Edinburgh for what the judge, Lord Pentland, described as a "truly monstrous and evil" murder.

The pair had gone to Ms Bledaite's bedroom after learning she had 10,000 in the bank. They forced her to reveal the number for her bank cards and then smothered her with a pillow, before dismembering her body.

Six flats are currently vacant.
