Homes hit in drug raids

CRACK cocaine and herbal cannabis with a combined value of £4000 was seized by police during raids on a trio of homes.

Officers swooped on three addresses during the operation on Tuesday, with nearly 5000 in cash also confiscated.

The raids took place at homes in Caledonian Place in Dalry, Comely Bank Place in Stockbridge and Salamander Court in Leith.

Three people, aged 25, 34 and 34, have been arrested and charged in connection with alleged drugs offences, and were set to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.

Last September, police carried out two days of raids against alleged crack dealers in Leith.
