Holyrood backs long-lease bill

A BILL to convert long leases into ownership has received backing from Holyrood's justice committee.

However, it is not known how accurate the estimated figure of 9,000 long leases eligible for conversion is. The bill broadly applies to leases that were let for over 175 years.
