Historic gear shifts location

SEVERAL bulky exhibits from Prestongrange Industrial Heritage Museum have been moved after 30 years at the East Lothian attraction.

Two weather-beaten cages, a hopper and two wagons, which have been owned by the museum since the 1980s, were transported to Newtongrange on Saturday, where they will be kept for preservation.

All the other large objects around the site are remaining in place and are part of the guided tour at Prestongrange.

Local residents came to watch the objects being readied for removal.
