Hibs matches most expensive in country

HIBS fans have reacted with a mixture of shock and bemusement at being named the most expensive club to watch in Scotland.

A survey found that a day out at Easter Road costs an average of 29.20, around 6 more than Tynecastle, and pricier than both Old Firm sides.

That takes into account the cost of a ticket, a pie, a cup of tea and a programme, with the average brief costing around 22.

Fans today pointed out that supporters did not need to indulge in reading material and food, and said that the 22 is the same price throughout the ground, whereas most other clubs have a sliding scale of prices.

Others said it hit home the message that going to the football was simply too expensive for the product on show.
