Hibs legends pitch in to aid Pakistan

A CHARITY football match in aid of Pakistan Flood Aid between Dalkeith Thistle FC and a Hibs Legends team will take place at the weekend.

Some of Dalkeith's own "legends" will also appear at the match on Sunday, including George Bowmaker, John McGraw, Rab Chapman and Jeff Hunter.

The event at King's Park in Dalkeith, which gets under way at 1pm, will also feature head coach Jock Landells and club vice-president Jimmy Butt.

A school match between St David's High and Newbattle High will be held at 10.30am.

Trophies will be presented by MP David Hamilton and Midlothian Provost Adam Montgomery.

There will be post-match hospitality, courtesy of Dalkeith British Legion in Buccleuch Street.

Entrance to the school game costs 2, while the main game entry price is 3. A family ticket for four is available for 8.

A referee is required for the school match and two assistant referees for the main match in the afternoon.
