Hibs fans on race charge

TWO Hibs fans have been accused of singing offensive songs on a train taking them home from the Scottish Cup semi-final.

Edward Mouat, of Hutchison Grove, and Stephen Rogers, of Prospect Bank Grove, both 44, appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court yesterday.

They were charged that on April 14 this year they shouted and swore and “sang songs containing racial insults and jibes” on a train journey from Glasgow Queen Street station to Edinburgh.

Both accused denied the charge and are due for trial next month.
