Here's a chance for Every One to dance

ANYONE with a love of dance can audition to take part in a major new show at the Royal Lyceum theatre.

Producers are looking for between 20 and 30 volunteers to take part in Every One, written by acclaimed playwright Jo Clifford. They will perform in a short dancing scene at the end.

The show, about a family touched by tragedy, features a strong Scottish cast including Kathryn Howden and Liam Brennan. It will be directed by the Lyceum's artistic director, Mark Thomson.

A Lyceum spokeswoman said: "Although professionals are very welcome to take part, no dancing experience is required, just a willingness to get involved and be a part of this major production."

Mr Thomson said: "Jo Clifford is a humanist whose plays have great warmth and theatricality. The dance in her play is a huge spectacle showing all facets of society – all ages, male and female, all walks of life. That's why we're looking for real everyday people to be a part of it."

Auditions will take place at Dancebase in the Grassmarket on 8 February from 5-6pm. The show runs from 19 March to 10 April.
