Helping hand to keep safe

POLICE and firefighters are set to host a series of public meetings to give people crime prevention and safety advice.

Community wardens will also be available to discuss local concerns and police officers will run a free property marking service.

Inspector Ian MacKay said: "The purpose of this operation is to provide a visible presence for our communities."
