Helping hand to look back

The Scottish Genealogy Society is to hold late-night surgeries in Edinburgh on family history research.

Experts will be on hand to assist anyone who has encountered problems with their research at the sessions, part of Scotland’s History Festival.

The surgeries will take place on the next two Wednesdays from 10.30am to 9pm at 15 Victoria Terrace.

The Family History Centre will also be open on November 27 from 12 noon to 4pm to offer advice and assistance.
