Helping hand for the blind

A PIONEERING sight-loss service visits the Lothians next month, invited by The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

Action for Blind People's mobile Sight Loss Information Service will let affected people find out more about new technology to improve daily life, such as vibrating bank note detectors and talking microwaves.

The unit will be in Castle Street on 6 July, the Gyle on 7 July and in the South Car Park of the Livingston Shopping Centre on 8 July, all from 10am to 4pm.
