Help name hawk chicks

Visitors to Edinburgh’s Royal Botanic Garden are being asked to help name four young sparrowhawks.

A “nest cam” already allows the public to watch the young sparrowhawks, one of the UK’s smallest birds of prey. Next weekend, as well as a range of activities to inspire visitors about the species, RSPB staff will be asking for suggestions for names for the two males and two females.

The Edinburgh Sparrowhawk Date With Nature Family weekend will take place between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
