Hearts star to auction off shirts in memory of tragic teenage crash victim

Ethan King, 17, passed away after being involved in a collision at Standing Stane Road, near Kirkcaldy at around 8.45am on Sunday morning.
Friends of the Glenrothes Athletic player led online tributes to the “happy and caring” youngster as they smashed a fundraising target to help pay for his funeral costs in just 18 minutes.

And now Kirkcaldy-born winger McDonald, also 17, has joined the fundraising effort by auctioning his collection of shirts for the family.
McDonald, who made his debut for the Jambos in December last year, posted on Twitter: “Gonna be auctioning off a few signed Hearts tops in the coming week or so, all profit goes to the family of Ethan King so any offers please dm.”
He later added: “There will also be signed Celtic and Rangers tops too, please dm me any offers.”
“Will stick photos of the tops up after international break.”
Two other men, aged 17 and 18 respectively, are fighting for their life following the crash after being rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and was later taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
