Hearts sign former Man U defender Adam Eckersley

The left-back comes in to challenge Kevin McHattie for a place in the Scottish Championship team following a six-year spell in Denmark.

Hide AdHead coach Robbie Neilson said: “I’m glad to get Adam in. He’s got experience, a good grounding and is a great character.
“We watched a lot of him on video and spoke to various people about him and got good reports, and he’s impressed in the time he’s spent with us.
“He works hard and wants to well. It’s great to get both cover for the left-back slot and someone in to challenge Kevin McHattie.”
