Hearts footballer Ian Black pleads not guilty to drug possession

HEARTS midfielder Ian Black, 26, has pled not guilty to a charge of being in possession of cocaine at a city nightclub.

Black's defence agent, Andrew Houston, tendered the plea on the player's behalf at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday. A trial date has been set for 18 October.

It is alleged Black was found with the Class A drug at the Lava & Ignite club on 16 May.
