Health skills plan on target

HEALTH chiefs will meet a national target on developing the skills of staff by early next year.

NHS Lothian is on course for the Investors in People prize after guidelines were put in place. The scheme is aimed at maximising and nurturing the ability and talent of all individuals, regardless of their level.

Workforce development project manager Dave Grigor said: "The standard is used as a quality check to confirm how well we are performing."
