Health club shapes up with £400k revamp

Bannatyne's Health Club in Newcraighall Road has completed a £400,000 upgrade.

The Musselburgh-based health club has taken delivery of more than 50 pieces of the latest cardiovascular equipment and created additional training areas.

Featuring Technogym treadmills, cross trainers, Cardio Waves and upright and reclined exercise bikes, the new equipment includes entertainment systems allowing members to watch a selection of digital TV channels and also view updates on their workout.

The club has also created a new kettlebell training area in its gymnasium, which features specialist flooring.

Adam Mills, general manager of the club, said: "This equipment is the latest in high-tech fitness systems and the best available on the market.

"It will provide new and existing members with an unrivalled exercise experience."
