Health chief replacement

ONE of the most senior positions within NHS Lothian has been filled by an internal candidate.

Chief operating officer James McCaffery – one of the highest paid civil servants in Scotland and responsible for overseeing a raft of major development projects – is to retire later in the summer.

An extensive search was launched for his replacement, and current director of strategic planning Jackie Sansbury – a popular figure within NHS Lothian – has been appointed.
