Health cash to be slashed

HEALTH chiefs are expecting Scottish Government funding of NHS Lothian to fall significantly over the next few years, it has emerged.

In a document, they said the level of uplift would fall to around one per cent a year, generating only an additional 10 million per annum.

Increases in drug costs are also expected, meaning even less spare cash in future years.
