Health board strikes blow

NHS Lothian is to set up information stands across the area tomorrow in a bid to help smokers quit.

The health board, which will use national No Smoking Day as a platform to issue advice, said two-thirds of those who smoked wanted to give it up.

The information points will run all day at Waverley Station's concourse and Asda in Livingston. Experts will also be on hand at Tesco in Penicuik between 3pm and 5pm, Morrisons on Ferry Road between 9am and noon, Tesco Extra on Meadow Road from 2pm to 5pm, and at Musselburgh's Brunton Hall between 9.30am and 11.15am.
