Have the time of your life at hit musical

IT is the iconic coming-of-age film that had women everywhere swooning over "snake-hips" Patrick Swayze.

But now Dirty Dancing the musical - one of the most successful productions in West End history - is sure to get the Playhouse swaying when it comes to Edinburgh next year.

The Capital is among seven British cities to host the production from December 4, 2012, to January 12, 2013.

Gary Roden, general manager at the Playhouse, said: "Dirty Dancing broke all on-sale records in the West End and now it's coming to the Playhouse, the largest theatre in the UK, perhaps we can break some records of our own.

"I'm sure anyone coming will have the time of their lives."
