Harbour plan taking shape

PLANS to transform Western Harbour took one step further after the council approved the latest stage in plans to build 111 new homes.

Port of Leith Housing Association plan to create 99 low-rental units and 12 low-cost homes for purchase on Lindsay road.

The association also plans to start work on another 170 homes nearby, on Fox Street and Constitution Street, by 2012.
