Handbag thief floors woman

A WOMAN was knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked by a mugger just minutes after she withdrew money from a cash machine.

The 42-year-old victim had walked from a Lloyds cash machine at the Foot of Leith Walk, past Leith Primary School and across Duncan Place when the man approached at around 6.20am yesterday.

The thief then kicked her several times before making off towards Leith Links Gardens with her handbag.
